Aden is a moderate sized Gyspy Vanner Horse, his height reaching about 15 hands at his wither. His coloring is black and white piebald. He has a short, muscular neck that goes into a short back. His broad chest stretches into strong shoulders. These lead into heavy boned forelimbs with large hooves and white feathers around his hooves. His haunches are heavy, with heavy back legs, also with large hooves and white feathers. His long, thick mane and tail are mixed with colors of black and white. Last but not least, his eyes, which one is a crystal blue and the other an amber brown.

Aden tends to be a big softie around the people he knows and loves. Around strangers, he is reserved. He does not talk much unless he trusts the others he is talking to. Unlike most stallions, he does not try to show off his strength, though he has confidence in himself, he does not show it off like others. Around the ladies he is a true gentleman, rarely being sexual. Although Aden is difficult to anger, when you do, you better move out of his way. He is more than willing to defend the land and horses he loves.

Aden was born into a complicated situation. His sire was king of some unheard of land, that Aden was never really told about. His mother had been captured during a fight between his sire and the herd his mother lived with. During his mother's stay as a captive, the king produced Aden with her. Later his mother was released and was able to return to her mate and regular herd. When Aden was born his was an outcast, his mother's mate hated him, which soon led to his mother's own hatred of him. Aden's mother and her mate had produced a colt and a filly before Aden came along. The filly had seen four winters before the birth of Aden, and felt the need to take in her little half brother as their mother turned against him. His sister took him away from the herd, giving him time to grow into a muscular colt. After two winters passed, his sister found a mate and went to join a herd that rejected Aden. Sadden by not only the fact of being rejected, but now being completely on his own, Aden traveled the lands. He managed to join up with several bachelor herds before getting captured by the whiteman. They did not both to sell him at an auction, figuring a horse his size would not be bought for fear that he would kill any human, but instead loaded him onto a boat. Now he stands, on the shores of Gershom, ready to face what new challenges the land has to give him.
