MAEVE
THE 4-1-1
Full Name: Maeve
Nickname(s): N/A
Age: Five years
Gender: Mare
Species: Equine
Breed(s): Thoroughbred x Holsteiner
Other:
BODY,
Maeve is not your average horse. Built powerfully with streamlined muscles, she's not easily defeated. The Thoroughbred blood has refined her, made her muscles lean and quick. The Holsteiner has given her grace, a massive body, standing at almost seventeen hands, and calmed the normal Thoroughbred issues. She is a rich, dark chocolate bay with black points up her legs, and a slightly lighter muzzle. Her mane is black, and quite thick. Her eyes are a deep brown, and flash her every emotion with great detail. She weighs 1400lbs, but she is definitely not fat. She is well built and quite muscular, almost giving her the look of a stallion. But when she pumps up the charm, it's hard to remember that thought.
MIND,

Maeve is confident. She is sure of herself and of the things around her. If you don't like her, there is nothing she is going to do about that. She can be pushy, but most of the time she's just herself. She does little to hide her emotions, so you will most always know what she is thinking or how it affects you. She is bold and social, and rarely gets embarrassed. Around stallions she takes a fancy to, she can be flirty or seductive, but she has enough restraint to be respectful. She doesn't play games, and she doesn't beat around the bush. That doesn't mean she isn't intelligent, it just means she doesn't like to pretend.
SOUL.

Maeve was a calculated risk. A hot, incredible jumper Thoroughbred was bred to a quiet, reserved, but talented Holsteiner. Maeve was born. She had her own mind, and didn't take well to the humans' training methods. She never bit or lashed out at the humans (she actually liked them), she just rarely did what they wanted. The more aggressive the rider, the faster she would refuse at the jump, sending even the best rider in a graceful arc over the jump. She had a knack for making them think she would jump, and then at the last minute barely avoiding crashing over the jump. She hated the bit, hated the bridle, and basically did nothing they asked. No one wanted to try their hand at her after they had seen her in action, despite the fact she was pretty and practically perfect for the job they were trying to get her to do. She just wouldn't do it. Finally, they bred a different horse in her place, and she was discarded. This was about the time Gershom wasn't opening up, so she was taken to the island to see if she could survive there.
