Love was just a word, a phrase among the many things taught to the young. Breathed effortlessly into their tiny harks, eager to learn what happened to the young princess locked away in some cave. Their parents tell the stories time and time again filling their young minds with the good things but never the bad. They experimented, colts learning fillies had cooties and the fillies just played along chasing them around and around until they touched. In which a crush developed and then something more, until the bad happened the thing no young filly wanted to go through. Left in the dust, her dreams shattered and crushed. Her mother comforts her, telling her there’s more to life and more than just him. She moves on even though she finds it hard to do, they come and they go until finally she finds the one. She shook her crown and stared off into the dark lands; Luna’s light giving her a ghostly glow as she stared off at nothing. The breeze tossed her mane above her crown, banner wrapping around her pillars. The breath had always been a comfort to her, it whispered softly to her, as it twirled and swirled above her, creating a beautiful masterpiece. She hummed softly with it, closing her orbs and swaying just slightly. She hadn’t a care in the world at the moment, the memories and the word that plagued every one’s mind forgotten just for a time. Her forelock danced off to the side, giving way to the true beauty underneath. The thing she was so blind to or didn’t want to recognized, a sigh slipped pass her kissers as those stunning brown orbs opened in a flash. She snorted and fixed her forelock, letting it fall back into place. Fore pillar was placed forward and her nape lowered, crown placed upon her pillar as she rubbed a spot in which had just been bit by a blood sucker. Raising her crown she noted the moon had become slightly dim and looked up to see a cloud rolling across it. She went back to staring off over the land, her banner still wrapped around her pillars and her tresses still danced. A crack of thunder sounded off in the distance and the sky lit up. She took this as her cue to move and so she did. Picking up a fast trot and finally a canter, she moved with ease under the cover of dark. The occasional rumbles and lighting of the sky, scaring her just a bit more and making her want to move all that faster. She sought comfort in a small cave and turned around, just in time to see the storm engulf the land. She shivered and pressed herself against the back wall, banner tucking underneath her as she did so. Amria tossed her crown and called out desperately, she didn’t want to be alone anymore, she was scared and not liking that simple fact. She settled just slightly and stared out, the terrified look haunting her orbs.

[/blockquote] He had been stretching his legs through the lands, on his way back to his home in the Fortingeen when he caught a spark on the horizon. He thought he was seeing a ghost, perhaps of his past come back to frighten him into fear and break his confidence down. I'll show you, he thought, and stealthily galloped in the ghosts direction. He was not one to be frightened. The lightening and thunder that pounded around him did nothing to his confidence. His stride remained strong and smooth, without falter. His fast strides gained ground on the shimmery shape he was chasing, and then he caught the scent. It made him freeze mid stride, and he faltered. It was not a ghost. It was a magnificent femme! And her scent was intoxicating. She was a pure white, and the fear on her face gave a hint to perhaps her pure spirit?
He slows to a trot, to give her space in case she catches his scent and spooks. But it seems like she is desperate to get to cover and protection before the storm hits. Just as that thought materialized in his head the skies let loose. He quickened his pace and followed her. He wanted to know her name, her past, and know the spirit that had challenged him without knowing it. And more than that, he wants to know the creature that smells so sweet. He watches as she rushed into a dark cave, unawares of what might lurk within. He lets out a soft whinny, to let her know he is coming. He holds his head high and comes around a corner to find her shivering, from fright or chill? He gives out a deep nicker, wanting to nothing but try to comfort her. His tough exterior remains solid, but his eyes portray his determination to protect this lonely Miss.
As he gets to the lip of the cave he halts, despite the heavy down pour outside. He knows his manners, and know that he has to let the fillies come to him. He shakes out his long, black trusses. The ladies always liked his dark locks. He paws the ground, hesitant and yet antsy to move forward. He whinnies, introducing himself. He is Armado. It means Armed, but he's not dangerous. At least not to the ladies. He loves the ladies. He gives her a wink, and nickers again. He won't move until she wants him to, but he is sure she will. After all, she could use the comfort and she is all alone. And what if something is in the back of the cave? He is invincible, he knows how to defeat the mortal enemies. He could protect her, and in return she could let him get to know her, the intoxicating creature she is.

She was just finally beginning to relax, not nearly as afraid of the storm, as it roared on outside. Though at some point she had dozen off and was shortly after woken up by a loud bang. Which made her jump just slightly; she had to focus on catching her breath and slowing her racing heart as she took a quick sweep of the land outside the cave, which was currently being hit with heavy raindrops. She shifted her weight to the right and then to the left, ultimately deciding to cock her right hind and wait patiently for the storm to move on, so she could go out and run. She sighed softly and crinkled her kissers up in disgust; the rain always seemed to ruin all the fun. She had simply been mind her own business when the storm all the sudden set in. Amira closed her orbs and settled in what seemed was going to be awhile; she might as well as stay here for the night. With a deep breath she let it go and flicked her banner across her flanks and dozed lightly. She hadn’t nearly been asleep that long when she heard another near her ivory frame and cave. Orbs flashed open and a scream left her kissers, until her orbs adjusted and she saw another horse. She lowered her crown and focused on her breathing for a moment before looking up at him slightly, its really no problem, just a little fright nothing more, im Amria and you are? Her honey toned lyrics poured forth, reaching out to his harks. She adjusted herself slightly and moved over so he could fit in, you really don’t have to stand outside, you can fit in here. She smiled and laughed softly to herself and looked at him, through her forelock. He was a handsome thing, with his darker tresses and his dappled coat, she didn't say anymore just waited. [/blockquote] He was surprised by her scream when she finally noticed him, and so he let out another comforting nicker. He stepped closer, and listened to her musical voice. Not only was she beautiful and radiant, but she had the voice of an angel. Amria? That was her name, and what a sweet name it was. He stepped forward into the entrance of the cave. I am Armado. A pleasure to meet you... He bowed his head to the lady, for he was brought up with the right manners. With her invitation to come in, he nickered and walked in. He let the rain drip off his chilly coat rather than shake like a common canine. After all, the lady was afraid and didn't need to be chilled by the spray. He lowered his dish and wondered aloud Where do you come from? She was so fine featured and yet so alone that he couldn't imagine she was raised in this place and let to wander by herself. He side stepped closer to her frame as he felt his pelt begin to dry. He slowly reached out his muzzle to her side, wanting to touch her silky-looking skin. She glowed in the dark, her pelt was so white. Her scent had filled the cave now, and it was like standing in a field of flowers. He was overwhelmed. He had never met a mare like her, so delicate in scent and soul. As his muzzle touched her pelt, he waited with hesitation to see if she would shy away.
